The Food Pantry is Looking for Board Members!

The Falls Area Food Pantry is seeking new board members!  Are you interested in helping people with food insecurity?  Do you want to help guide the future of the food pantry?  We are looking for 5-7 people to join the Board of Directors in February.  We are especially interested in people who have backgrounds in business, law, finance, marketing, technology, communication, and building/maintenance. 

 

Board Member Responsibilities

We need people who can commit 5 – 10 hours a month to the food pantry.  They should have an interest in and heart for the Falls Area Food Pantry and be willing to: 

 

*  Prepare for and fully engage in board meetings

*  Take an active role on one or more committees and possibly lead a committee

*  Provide oversight and guidance to the Pantry staff and committees

*  Represent the pantry at community events

*  Help us achieve our mission: to gather and distribute nutritious food to residents in the greater Menomonee Falls area and to raise awareness of hunger in our community

 

Officers and committee leads may spend more hours per month assisting the food pantry.  Board members are elected to three year terms and can serve a maximum of three consecutive terms. 

 

Nomination Process

If you are interested in joining the board, please do the following:

 

1. Complete and submit a Board of Directors Nomination Form by January 20 to secretary@fallsfoodpantry.org.

 

2. Attend a Food Pantry Board Information Session:

*  Thursday, January 19 from 6 – 7 p.m.    (Room 123, MF Community Education & Rec)

*  Friday, January 20 from 9 – 10 a.m.       (Room 102, MF Community Education & Rec)

 

3. Undergo a background check after you submit your nomination form.

Our Pantry

Falls Food Pantry is proud to serve residents from Lannon, Colgate, Hubertus, Richfield, Butler, Brookfield, Germantown, and Menomonee Falls.

 

HOURS

Tuesday and Thursday
12 PM - 2 PM & 5 PM - 7 PM

 

FOOD CAN BE DROPPED OFF 24 HOURS PER DAY, 7 DAYS PER WEEK.
